Creating a post-stay email template is a great way to easily and consistently follow up with guests to thank them for staying with you, to encourage feedback, and to avoid issues or concerns raised in an online review. Make sure it's written to fit your brand personality and give it a friendly and approachable tone.
Three Tips to encourage excellent reviews:
#1 - "Thank you for staying with us, we know you had a choice"
It's important to acknowledge that you appreciate they chose to book your accommodation, and that you enjoyed having them as guests. If you can, pick something about their stay unique to them that you can add in to personalise the messaging.
#2 - "If you can suggest any improvements we can make, please reply now and let us know."
This encourages guests to provide any concerns or potentially negative feedback to you directly via email rather than online. It's a great way to deal with any issues in private communications rather than on a review website.
#3 - "We trust you enjoyed your stay, we'd love your help to spread the word".
This is where you can request the valuable online review. Make it easy for them by providing the links to your Tripadvisor page and Google Business Profile so they don't have to go searching.
